Do we really need to replace the FBI? Our Republic manage for a centuury and a half without it. How many of the laws it enforces are Constitutional anyway? For example, where does the Constitution give the the Congress to investigate murder and numerous other laws that are the sole jurisdiction of the states? Do we really need a national bureau to catch criminals who cross state lines? Aren’t states better at finding criminals in their own states than some out of state agents?
If we do need a national bureau, lets do it right and consolidate the DEA, the ATF, and the rest of alphabet soup into a single bureau with minimal, wel-defined authority. First and foremost, though, lets repeal all the unconstitutional and tyrrannical laws they enforce.
